Road inauguration ceremony turned into a devastating deadly massacre location after CRPF jawans were attacked by naxals in chattisgarh's sukma village and 25 of CRPF jawans got killed in the attack.
The attack took place on personnel of the 74th Battalion of the CRPF as they were assisting the local population in road building activity in the district.

Post the shocking incident, Indian cricketer and KKR captain Gautam Gambhir grieved for losing our country's jawans.
“On Wednesday morning, I picked up newspapers and saw gut-wrenching pictures of the daughters of two CRPF men killed in the latest attacks. One was saluting her martyred father while in the other picture, the howling young woman was being consoled by her relative,” Gambhir wrote in his column for Hindustan Times.
As a mark of respect to our lost men, KKR players wore black bands on a match against Rising Pune Supergiants. KKR went on to win the match where Gambhir scored fifty and dedicated the win for the Jawans who were killed in the attack.
He said: “It is for the same reasons I love armed forces too, although the quantum of losing a dear one while serving the country can never ever be compared to losing a cricket match.”
Gambhir took the twitter medium to express his love for the armed forces and their families
“The Gautam Gambhir Foundation will take care of the entire education expenses of the children of these martyrs. My team has already started work on this and I shall soon share the progress we have made,” he tweeted.
