- Shami is also making a comeback into the Indian ODI team after 2 years, the last match which he played was in 2015 world cup.

Luke Ronchi and James Neesham were the only batsmen in NZ amongst runs with 66 and 46 respectively
India on the other hand opened with Dhawan and Rahane - Jinx had to leave early with just 7 runs and Dhawan was joined by the skipper Virat Kohli
Both the Delhi boys were playing sensibly by taking on kiwis pace attack before Dhawan got out for 40 runs. Team must be happy that Dhawan got back to form which is crucial for India in this ICC tournament
MS Dhoni then joined hands with Kohli in an attempt to chase down the meagre total without losing anymore wicket - Kohli scored 52 and Dhoni with 17 when rain interrupted and forced the players & umpires to leave the field.
